Year of the snake 2025

Year of the Snake – 2025

A new cycle is starting

The yin wood snake

With the snake entering the stage for 2025, the theme of the new incoming energy is that of the fire element. It is called the wooden snake as yin wood has partnered with the fire snake for this dance of elements in 2025. In the cycle of creation the wood element is nourishing the fire. Like a log put into the fire place is creating warmth as a result. We will feel the heat with this combination which is on the dry side. The snake has hidden elements of metal and earth in store which will make for an unpredictable atmosphere. Expect surprises.

The Chinese Zodiac

The five elements

Looking at the five elements of fire, earth, metal, water and wood the fire element will dominate the energy of this year. For individuals that need the fire element to have a balanced chart this is good news. I often hear people say I am this one animal (pick one: tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, rabbit, monkey, dog, pig, rat, ox). But what does that mean exactly?

Frankly, by itself, it doesn’t say much. It’s just one element out of eight elements in your Bazi chart. Wondering what the other 7 elements are and how your chart really looks like? What elements will nourish and support you and which will be unfavorable and create imbalance in your chart, your personality and life?

The myth of being a single zodiac animal

Many of us know that within the Chinese Zodiac there are 12 animals. But believing that you are just one zodiac animal, is incomplete. Are you now curious what your Bazi chart looks like and what the interplay of the Zodiac animals is, what quality of Qi element is influencing your personality? A good resource to check your chart is a free Bazi calculator. It will show you the four pillars of destiny of your birthdate. One pillar for the year, one for the month, one for the day and one for the hour.

Bazi = eight characters = 4 pillars of destiny

The pillar hosts two elements, the zodiac animal sign, 12 of them, are the earthly branches and make up the bottom part of the pillar. One of the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal or water are the heavenly stems and make up the top part of the pillar. Each pillar is either yin or yang in its entirety. So you have 4 pillars and 8 elements. That will give you a good idea about your personality. Then there are the pillars of destiny. Each pillar will influence our life for 10 years.

Is red always good Feng Shui?

When red is too much

Red represents the fire element and is considered an auspicious color. Let me go back in time for a second here. Growing up my Mom had decided that my favorite color will be red and my sister’s favorite color will be blue. Simply for practical reasons.
I never liked red, in fact, I always envied my sister for her blue outfits and I never understood why. Although we often were fitted with the exact same outfits, I gravitated towards the blues. I literally saw red when I had to wear red outfits. Many years later when I lived in Asia, I had the good fortune to get a Bazi chart reading from a talented Feng Shui Master … and had an eye-opening moment!

Bazi Analysis

When I saw my Bazi chart I instantly got it. Out of eight elements that can be any combination of wood, fire, metal, earth and water, four of my elements are fire! I need wood and water to feel balanced. Alas! I wish someone would have explained to my Mum when I was a kid that my favorable colors are in fact greens and blues!
It’s no surprise that to this day you will not find any red piece of clothing in my wardrobe. The Feng Shui Master explicitly told me that day to avoid the color red and any activity related to excessive fire such as driving fast sports cars under any circumstances as it is not a lucky color or activity for me.

An influx of fire energy

Effects of incoming fire energy

Collectively, we will all have the energy of the wood snake influencing our elemental constellations, which will be strong fire with metal and earth. It will also have an impact on the environment, shape the economy and the general vibe globally. The main thing to keep in mind is that fire is an activation principle, a doing principle, a forward moving principle, and agent of change, a symbol of growth and is rather unpredictable.
Movements, moods and developments are not quiet and smooth but rather eruptive. On a humorous note picture a passionate lover, it’s very exciting and intense, creativity and inspiration are high.

Areas to harmonize

There are different ways to balance the qi elements. When it comes to the energy in our homes, one way to balance the energy is to create a harmonious and supportive environment with shapes, colors and conscious furniture placement and carry out sacred ceremonies e.g. in the form of a space clearing. When it comes to our personal energy, we can use foods, acupuncture or traditional qi gong and even healing sounds to balance out the energetic effects of the year.

My personal remedy

Natural plant extracts to balance the fire element

As you know, I live in a very dry climate in the Great Basin desert, in the “rain shadow” of the Sierra Nevada mountains, when one day during my morning routine as I contemplated the incoming dry fire energy of 2025 I added essential oil to my facial cream. I instantaneously felt the energizing effect of its inherent water and wood qualities very acutely in my energy, so nourishing and revitalizing, a great sense of well being.

This moment sparked the inspiration to create an essential oil that carries foremost wood and water frequencies with a tiny dash of earth and metal which I can use throughout 2025 to counterbalance the excessive fire energy. I put my alchemical hat on and experimented with different essential oils until I found several floral, ceremonial and wooden essential oils becoming just the perfect blend!

Special edition of Feng Shui Essential Oil Blend 2025 is born

“Delicate white floral ceremonial aromas are blended against a backdrop of mystical lush forest notes energized with healing sounds of the wood and water qi elements”.
This blend has top, middle and base notes. The essential oil dilution is 10% and has been blended with love in Nevada by me personally. The combination is subtle yet complex in order to represent the characteristics of yin wood.

As soon as I mentioned my new invention to my friends, the unison response was “I want one, too!”. What if you would like one, too to soothe the incoming dry fire energy of 2025?

So I made a limited batch of 10ml roller bottles to soothe your senses on the go and harmonize your energy for an auspicious and prosperous 2025.  The Feng Shui Essential Oil Blend of the Year of 2025 ships within the US only. You can find the list of ingredients and buy it by clicking on the red button below.

Gong Xi Fa Cai! May you have a prosperous year of 2025!

P.S.:

Unfortunately physical fires have been very active. Therefor 25% of the net proceeds of all purchases of the soothing essential oil blend will go to a non-profit organization to benefit those affected by the fires in Los Angeles.
Thank you!
